Calculating Density
Density is the amount of matter in a given space or volume. It's given in units of g/mL or g/cm3.
Mass is the amount of matter in an object. Mass is given in units of grams (g).
Volume is the amount of space an object takes up. Volume can be measured using different methods.
To calculate density, you must know both the mass and volume of an object. Divide the mass by volume to get density.
